The other week I was sitting on my lounge watching Netflix when an exciting package arrived. Initially, I thought it was the strobe light disco ball for our cinema to spin room conversion. But to my surprise, when I opened the satchel it was a sampling of Sukin Skincare’s new Hydration Range.
Hastily, I opened each box to smell and swatch the products inside. Sukin Skincare is a brand that rarely disappoints and our relationship is one that has lasted the ages. My first memory of Sukin Skincare would’ve been in 2011, maybe 2012. I had just finished high school and with the newfound financial freedom of my full-time job. I was eager to try a skincare brand that mum hadn’t purchased for the family.*
*quick disclaimer – I feel the beginning of the last decade was a different time to now. At least in my town, anyone under the age of 18 wasn’t purchasing boujee skincare brands unless it was medically prescribed to them from their GP.
So off I went to my local Woolworths to browse the beauty aisle. And as they say, the rest is history.
The Range consists of 5 different products, a Rehydrating Gel Cream, Hydrafusion Night Cream, Hydra Eye Gel, Deeply Hydrating Biodegradable Mask and Biomarine Facial Serum. Each containing a Bio-Marine Blend of Maize Complex, Hyaluronic Acid & Sea Algae. When used consistently for a month, it will leave your skin hydrated for 72 hours. Amazing huh!
I’ve been using the products for a few weeks now and honestly, I really look forward to applying each product morning and night. They have the “Sukin scent”. A fresh, botanical fragrance with a hint of citrus. The texture is silky and feels so luxurious when applying. The results so far have been positive. I’m excited to see what happens over the next month.
