Today’s look is all about monochrome style! I’ve had a few questions about how to create monochrome outfits. So I wanted to put it all in a post for you guys! A lot of people think monochrome style is has a strictly black and white dress code but in reality, it encompasses all shades of a colour.
Whether that be black, white and grey or lavender, violet and grape as long as you are keeping within your chosen colour family, you are nailing the monochrome look.

For those new to the monochrome style, a safe way to experiment with the look is to wear colours you are comfortable in. Then as you get more comfortable with monochrome outfits, experiment with bolder colours and contrasting fabrics/prints.

The first few months when I would dress in monochrome, I’d go to a black blouse and jeans broken up with a bone white blazer. It’s such a classic style and can be worn as an off-duty look or for an occasion.

With my look below, I wanted to show you how easy it is to incorporate a pattern when dressing in monochrome. These grey plaid pants create the perfect segway into the blacktop and white blazer.

What do you think of this outfit? Have you tried monochrome style?
